Grew up in the Outback and fell in love with the sky as a child. I was the first person in my family to ever finish school let alone attend Uni. It did take me a while but finally enrolled in UniSQ and obtained my BSc in Computing and went on to obtain a Masters Science Research and now in final year of PhD at UniSQ. Worked as support astronomer and technician at Siding Spring Observatory for over 11 years. For the last 3 years I have operated the Milroy Observatory in Coonabarabran. My sole claim to fame is that I discovered 2 comets and have been and continue to be very involved in Astronomy Outreach. I am the Australian National Co-Ordinator for Astronomers without Borders.
