Daniel did a PhD at the University of Newcastle (Australia) in polymer physics and nanotechnology. Since then he has worked in astronomical instrumentation and observation at a range of institutions. He has a particular interest in polarimetry of stellar atmospheres and the composition of planetary atmospheres.
- Stellar polarimetry, with a focus on photospheres and applications to stellar activity, rapid rotation, binary orbits and asteroseismology.
- Planetary Atmospheres
- Stellar Polarimetry
- Polymer Physics
